Joe DiMaggio Playground Park

The Joe DiMaggio Playground is defined by a multi-level turf play area where slides are embedded directly into grass-covered steps. Spanning two and a half acres in the North Beach neighborhood, this space includes tennis courts, a multipurpose field, and bocce courts nestled beside a small grove of olive trees. It opened in nineteen ten as the North Beach Playground, one of the first sites constructed by the San Francisco Playground Commission.
