Eureka (ferryboat)

The Eureka is a massive side-wheel paddle steamboat that stands out as the largest wooden ship still afloat in the world. Built in eighteen ninety in Tiburon, the vessel was originally named the Ukiah and functioned as a freight-car ferry, shuttling trains across the bay to connect rail lines. It features a distinct double-ended design, which allowed it to move back and forth between ferry slips without needing to turn around.
