Julia Morgan Building

The Julia Morgan Building is a three-story brick structure with a hipped roof and slate shingles, identified by its Jacobethan Revival style. It occupies a prominent position at three thousand four hundred Laguna Street. Completed in nineteen twenty-five, it was commissioned by the San Francisco Ladies’ Protection and Relief Society. The building features a double-arched entrance and terracotta floral motifs cast into deep window frames, elements reflecting the architectural signature of Julia Morgan, who was California's first licensed female architect.
