Levi's Plaza is defined by its dramatic contrast between dense, angular red-brick office buildings and an expansive, lush public park. Opened in nineteen eighty-one, this nine-acre campus serves as the corporate headquarters for Levi Strauss and Company. The site was developed after Chairman Walter Haas Junior grew dissatisfied with the company’s previous high-rise offices, opting instead to build a low-profile campus at the base of Telegraph Hill that would complement the neighborhood rather than dominate it.
