George Sterling Park

George Sterling Park sits atop Russian Hill, characterized by the Alice Marble Tennis Courts that occupy much of its footprint. This green space, bordered by Greenwich, Larkin, Hyde, and Lombard Streets, overlooks the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. It was originally dedicated in nineteen twenty-eight as George Sterling Glade to honor the local poet who was a central figure in the city's early twentieth-century Bohemian community.
