Market Square (San Francisco)

Market Square occupies the full city block between Ninth and Tenth Streets, defined by its massive, light-colored Art Deco facade that stretches along the northwest side of Market Street. Built in nineteen thirty-seven, the complex was originally the Western Furniture Exchange and Merchandise Mart. It served as a hub where furniture retailers and wholesalers showcased their goods, standing as a trade center for the industry for decades.
