Peychaud's at The Celestine

Peychaud’s sits within the courtyard and interior rooms of a townhouse built in seventeen ninety-one at seven hundred twenty-seven Toulouse Street. The property serves as a tribute to Antoine Amédée Peychaud, the Creole apothecary who lived and worked in these very rooms during the nineteenth century. Peychaud famously invented the herbal bitters that eventually became the essential ingredient in the Sazerac, the official cocktail of New Orleans.
