Saint Mary's Catholic Church

Saint Mary’s Catholic Church stands on Chartres Street as a neighbor to the Old Ursuline Convent. You can identify the site by its attachment to the convent complex, which represents some of the oldest structures in the Mississippi Valley. Originally built in eighteen forty-five as the Chapel of the Archbishops, the building provided a place of worship for the archbishops who lived in the nearby convent.
