Apple Barrel Bar

The Apple Barrel Bar occupies the ground floor of a building at six hundred nine Frenchmen Street, tucked directly beneath the restaurant Adolfo’s. Its interior is small enough that musicians often describe the space as feeling like a walk-in closet, a layout that forces an intimate connection between the performers and the room. While the bar now functions as a nightly home for blues and jazz, it spent years as a quiet neighborhood tavern equipped with little more than a dartboard and a jukebox.
