Jones Street is a quiet, one-block stretch in Greenwich Village that runs between Bleecker Street and West Fourth Street. It is instantly recognizable to many for a single image: the cover of the nineteen sixty-three Bob Dylan album, The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. In the photograph, taken by Don Hunstein during a cold February in nineteen sixty-two, a young Dylan walks down the center of the street, huddled against the winter wind with his then-girlfriend, Suze Rotolo.
