Brewery Block

The Brewery Blocks are five square city blocks in the Pearl District defined by their prominent, dark red brick buildings and a singular towering smokestack. This area occupies the former site of the Blitz-Weinhard Brewery, which operated in Portland from eighteen sixty-four until nineteen ninety-nine. For over a century, the brewery served as a neighborhood fixture, filling the downtown air with the scent of boiling hops and malt.
