Thanks-Giving Square

The Chapel of Thanks-Giving is the most distinct feature here, a ninety-foot-tall white spiral that rises above the surrounding garden. This structure serves as the centerpiece of a triangular, sunken urban park designed by architect Philip Johnson. Opened in nineteen seventy-six, the square was envisioned by four local businessmen who wanted to create a space for interfaith connection and quiet reflection in the middle of downtown Dallas.
