The Carl Wilhelm August Groos House is a cream-colored limestone mansion defined by its Victorian Gothic Revival design and a prominent belvedere crowning the roof. Built in eighteen eighty, the house features wide, ornate cast-iron verandas that shade the front elevation, accented by delicate columns and gingerbread trim. It sits on the grounds of the King William Historic District, with a property boundary that extends back to the San Antonio River.
