Sydney Tower Eye

viewpoint

The Sydney Tower Eye rises above the city center as a slim, gold-turreted column topped by a tall antenna spire. Reaching a total height of three hundred and nine meters, it has stood as the tallest structure in Sydney since it opened to the public in September nineteen eighty-one. The tower was designed by architect Donald Crone, with its main shaft constructed from forty-six pre-made, twenty-seven-tonne barrel units that were welded together on-site.
