String Bean Alley is a pedestrian laneway lined with twenty-six colorful, repurposed shipping containers. Situated between sheds L and M at the Queen Victoria Market, these containers serve as permanent storefronts for independent artists, makers, and vintage retailers. The alley is distinguished by festoon lights strung overhead and the distinct industrial aesthetic of the metal containers, which provide a contrast to the surrounding traditional market stalls.
