landmark

The Guru Nanak Jahaz (Komagata Maru) Memorial in Coal Harbour is composed of steel panels arranged to simulate the hull of a ship. It sits along the seawall near the Vancouver Convention Centre, marking the location where the steamship anchored in Burrard Inlet in nineteen fourteen. The memorial features the names of the three hundred and seventy-six passengers who were barred from entering Canada.
