The Former Geological Survey of Canada Building is a three-story stone structure with a rigidly symmetrical arrangement of windows and Italianate-style bracketed eaves. Located at the corner of Sussex Drive and George Street, this building served as the first headquarters and museum for the Geological Survey of Canada starting in eighteen seventy-nine.
