Sir John A. Macdonald Building

The Sir John A. Macdonald Building is defined by its grand Beaux-Arts exterior, which features heavy limestone walls carved with intricate panels of Canadian industry, commerce, and nature. Standing at one hundred and forty-four Wellington Street, this structure occupies a prominent position directly across from the Parliament of Canada. Built between nineteen thirty and nineteen thirty-two, it originally served as the main Ottawa branch for the Bank of Montreal.
