Metro Hall stands as a twenty-seven-story Postmodern office tower at the corner of John and Wellington Streets. It is identifiable by its distinct vertical profile and its position overlooking the wide expanse of Pecaut Square. Completed in nineteen ninety-two, the building was designed to serve as the headquarters for the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto, a regional government that coordinated services across the area before the municipal amalgamation of nineteen ninety-eight.
