People’s Square, known locally as Pjaca, is defined by its fifteenth-century city clock. This clock tower is unique because it displays twenty-four numerals on its face instead of the standard twelve. The square sits just west of the walls of Diocletian’s Palace and is surrounded by a mixture of Gothic, Venetian, and Renaissance palaces built by the city's noble families.
