Inderhavnsbroen

landmark

Inderhavnsbroen is a pedestrian and bicycle bridge stretching one hundred eighty meters across Copenhagen’s Inner Harbour. You can identify it by its sinuous, S-shaped curve and the unique way its two central spans retract horizontally to let boats pass, a movement that earned it the local nickname the Kissing Bridge. By linking the historic waterfront of Nyhavn with the Christianshavn neighborhood, it replaced what was once a lengthy detour for commuters.
