The Royal Danish Academy of Music occupies the former Radio House, a sprawling modernist complex recognized by its long wings and a distinct, fan-shaped concert hall. Designed by architect Vilhelm Lauritzen, the building was constructed between nineteen thirty-eight and nineteen fifty-four to serve as the headquarters for the Danish national broadcaster. It is defined by its clean, functionalist lines and exterior surfaces of Greenlandic marble.
