Port Noblessner

Port Noblessner is a seaside district defined by its heavy industrial heritage, where massive stone factory buildings now sit alongside modern apartments and a marina. Founded in nineteen twelve as a shipyard for the Russian Empire, the site was named for its creators, Emanuel Nobel—the nephew of Alfred Nobel—and the machine-builder Arthur Lessner. Between nineteen thirteen and nineteen seventeen, the yard produced twelve modern submarines, with vessels often named after fierce cats like the Jaguar and the Panther.
