Lennusadam – Eesti Meremuuseum

The Seaplane Harbour, known locally as Lennusadam, is defined by three massive, interconnected reinforced concrete domes that span eight thousand square meters without a single internal support pillar. Built between nineteen twelve and nineteen sixteen as a seaplane hangar for the Russian Empire’s naval fortress, this structure remains one of the earliest examples of large-scale, thin-shell concrete engineering in the world.
