Rotermann City is defined by the sharp visual contrast between weathered, nineteenth-century limestone factory walls and angular, contemporary glass and steel structures. This dense urban block sits between Tallinn’s Old Town and the harbor, marking the site where Christian Abraham Rotermann established a building materials depot in eighteen twenty-nine. Over the following century, the property evolved into a sprawling industrial hub, housing sawmills, distilleries, and grain elevators that fueled the city’s economy.
