Old Fishing Harbor

The Old Fishing Harbor, known locally as Kalasadam, reveals itself through its weathered concrete piers and a shoreline of exposed pebbles and broken stone. Stretching across five hectares, this derelict site sits along the industrial waterfront, framed by the stark, monumental forms of the Linnahall sports hall and the city’s modern museum district. Once the beating heart of Tallinn’s maritime life, it remains a stretch of open, unmanaged wilderness where spontaneous vegetation pushes through the gaps in the cracked ground.
