Kalamaja Cemetery Park

Kalamaja Cemetery Park is defined by a restored baroque bell tower that stands near its entrance, topped with a weather vane dated seventeen eighty. This green space, hidden under a dense canopy of old trees, marks the site of the oldest known cemetery in Tallinn. Established between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, the ground served as the primary burial place for the city’s lower-class Estonian and Swedish residents for nearly five hundred years.
