Aux Merveilleux de Fred

Aux Merveilleux de Fred is a patisserie that began in the Vieux-Lille district in nineteen ninety-seven. It is recognized for its signature namesake cake, the Merveilleux, a confection made of meringue and whipped cream coated in chocolate shavings. Frédéric Vaucamps, the pastry chef who founded the shop, sought to perfect a traditional recipe he encountered, eventually developing his own version that became the house specialty.
