Léopold Sedar Senghor Garden

The Léopold Sédar Senghor Garden sits within the fourteenth arrondissement of Paris. It is a green space named in honor of the poet and politician who served as the first president of Senegal. Senghor, who lived from nineteen oh six to two thousand and one, became the first African member of the Académie Française and spent his life championing the richness of African culture and the French language.
