The Cité internationale universitaire de Paris is marked by a landscape of dozens of distinct residences, each designed to reflect the architectural style of a different country. Stretching across thirty-four hectares between the boulevard Jourdan and the boulevard périphérique, this campus began as an ambitious project after the First World War. Founders André Honnorat and Paul Appell envisioned a space where students from around the globe could live together to foster international peace and understanding.
