Théâtre Rive Gauche

The Théâtre Rive Gauche at number six rue de la Gaîté features a distinctive exterior mural painted by the French artist Pierre Clayette. Originally opening in eighteen sixty as a cabaret called the Cabaret Montparnasse, the venue later transitioned into a cinema before being purchased by Alain Mallet in nineteen eighty-six. Mallet initially named it the Grand Théâtre d'Edgar, but the space underwent a significant transformation and reopened under its current name in nineteen ninety-four.
