Espace Beaujon

The Espace Beaujon is marked by a monumental stone gateway on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, distinguished by its rustic stonework and a wide central arch topped with a coffered vault. This building was commissioned in seventeen eighty-four by the financier Nicolas Beaujon, a wealthy banker to the court of Louis the Sixteenth. It was originally constructed to function as a charitable hospice for the impoverished children of the local parish.
