The Pauline García Viardot Garden is a quiet square of lawn and shaded flowerbeds nestled at the foot of an eighteenth-century mansion. This green space at twenty-six rue Chaptal honors the nineteenth-century mezzo-soprano, composer, and pianist Pauline García Viardot. Inaugurated in July twenty twenty-one, the garden occupies a site that reflects the neighborhood's long history as a gathering place for the Parisian artistic elite.
