Hotel de noirmoutier

The Hôtel de Noirmoutier is identifiable from the street by its grand, half-moon portal framed by Ionic columns and topped with a molded cornice. Built between seventeen twenty-one and seventeen twenty-four for the Duke of Noirmoutier, Antoine-François de La Trémoille, this private mansion was designed by the architect Jean Courtonne. It follows the traditional layout of a great Parisian town house, with its main residence situated between a ceremonial courtyard and a private garden.
