Puppet Theater of Parc Monceau

The Puppet Theater of Parc Monceau is an open-air stage located near the park's naumachia, the oval pond bordered by a colonnade. Since nineteen eighty-two, a resident company has performed here, keeping the tradition of Guignol theater alive under the shade of the park's trees. Guignol, the baton-wielding character created in the early nineteenth century by Laurent Mourguet, remains the central figure of the performances, engaging audiences with classic tales and original adaptations.
