Square Marcel Pagnol

Square Marcel Pagnol is defined by a landscape of plane trees, maples, chestnuts, and mulberries that provides a shaded view of the Saint-Augustin church. Originally created in eighteen sixty-seven during the Second Empire as Square Laborde, the park was designed by the engineer Jean-Charles Adolphe Alphand. It was renamed in nineteen eighty to honor the writer and filmmaker Marcel Pagnol, who spent much of his life and career in Paris.
