Église Saint-Jean de Montmartre

The Église Saint-Jean de Montmartre is identified by a façade of red brick decorated with geometric mosaics of blue, ochre, and white sandstone. Built between eighteen ninety-four and nineteen oh four, this parish church sits at the foot of the hill of Montmartre. Its priest, Father Sobbeaux, commissioned the project to provide a place of worship for the growing population at the base of the district, as the older Saint-Pierre de Montmartre at the summit had become too small.
