R-26 (salon)

The artistic salon known as R-twenty-six occupied a sixth-floor apartment at twenty-six Rue Norvins, near the spot now marked by the Place Marcel-Aymé. Founded on New Year’s Day in nineteen thirty, the salon took its name from its host, Robert Perrier, and the building's street number. Perrier, a supplier for haute couture, lived there with his wife, Madeleine, and daughter, Marie-Jacques.
