Palais de la découverte

The Palais de la Découverte occupies the western wing of the Grand Palais, a Beaux-Arts building identified by its vast glass roof and stone facades decorated with columns. This museum dedicated to fundamental science originated during the nineteen thirty-seven International Exhibition in Paris. Physicist and Nobel Prize winner Jean Perrin established the facility to move away from static displays, aiming instead to show science as a living process through live experiments and public demonstrations.
