Place Pigalle

Place Pigalle is a public square located at the foot of the Montmartre hill, sitting on the border of the ninth and eighteenth arrondissements. It takes its name from the eighteenth-century French sculptor Jean-Baptiste Pigalle. The square is identified by its proximity to the entrance of the Pigalle metro station and its position as a central junction between the Boulevard de Clichy and the Boulevard de Rochechouart.
