The Halle aux Grains is a distinctive hexagonal building constructed from red bricks and Garonne pebbles on Place Dupuy. Inaugurated in eighteen sixty-one, it functioned as a covered market for grain transported by boat to the nearby port of Saint-Sauveur. Its iron framework and open design connected the city to the commerce of the Canal du Midi for decades.
