The Hôtel Dumay is a sixteenth-century residence defined by its austere, heavy brick facade that faces the street, hiding an inner courtyard with a distinct trapezoidal shape. Built between fifteen eighty-five and the early seventeenth century, this structure was the home of Antoine Dumay, a physician who served Marguerite de Valois, the first wife of King Henri the Fourth. His family expanded the house over generations, adding wings and a tower that eventually created the building’s current layout.
