The Centenary Monument is a tall stone column rising at the edge of the Jardin Albert premier, where it overlooks the Promenade des Anglais and the Mediterranean Sea. At its peak stands a bronze winged figure of Victory, draped in a flag and captured in the act of swearing an oath of loyalty.
