Bellanda Tower

The Bellanda Tower is a circular stone structure perched on the slopes of Castle Hill, marking the southwest entrance to the park. Built in the nineteenth century, it occupies the foundation of the Saint-Elme Tower, a fifteenth-century military lookout that once guarded the citadel before French troops destroyed the city’s fortifications in seventeen oh six.
