Place du Palais de Justice

other

The Place du Palais de Justice is defined by the imposing, neoclassical courthouse that occupies its entire west side. Inaugurated on October seventeen, eighteen ninety-two, this building was designed by the departmental architect Auguste-Vincent Dieudé-Defly. It stands directly over the former site of a Dominican convent, which had been established in the year twelve forty-three before being demolished to clear the land for the new law courts.
