The Monument aux Morts de Rauba-Capeù is a thirty-two-meter-tall war memorial carved directly into the rock face at the base of Castle Hill. You can identify it by the massive central urn set within an arched niche, flanked by two large relief sculptures. Designed by architect Roger Séassal and sculpted by Alfred Janniot, the monument honors the residents of Nice who died during the First World War.
