Heinzelmännchenbrunnen

The Heinzelmännchenbrunnen is a stone fountain featuring a central sculpture of a woman holding a lantern and, beneath her, a series of carved relief panels depicting industrious gnomes at work. Built between eighteen ninety-seven and nineteen hundred by the sculptor Edmund Renard and his son, the architect Heinrich Renard, it honors the city's long-standing folklore about the Heinzelmännchen.
