The Hohenzollern Bridge is defined by its three massive, wave-like steel arches that span the Rhine, flanked at each of the four approaches by monumental bronze equestrian statues of Prussian kings and German emperors. Built between nineteen oh seven and nineteen eleven, the bridge was intended to project the permanence of the Hohenzollern dynasty. Emperor Wilhelm the Second inaugurated the structure, which originally carried both road and rail traffic.
