Mahajati Sadan Auditorium

Mahajati Sadan is a large, air-conditioned auditorium on Chittaranjan Avenue defined by the two statues of Subhas Chandra Bose and Rabindranath Tagore that stand at its entrance. The name translates to the House of the Great Nation, a title chosen by Tagore himself. Inside, the walls display portraits of Indian freedom fighters, while a library and museum contain rare research materials and documents focused on the independence movement.
