JN Barua

The bakery known as JN Barua is a small, century-old shop defined by its reliance on traditional wood-fired ovens. Established between nineteen twenty and nineteen thirty by Jyotindra Nath Barua, a refugee from Chittagong, the business operates today under the third generation of his family. It is hidden within the historic Bow Barracks area, a place originally built for military housing that remains an Anglo-Indian enclave.
